Välkommen Takeru Sorita

Sundbyberg Heat fick precis in sitt nyförvärv för säsongen! Takeru Sorita som kommer från Japan!
Tanken är att han ska spela med Elitlaget, för att sen även hjälpa till på träningar och matcher för junior- och regionslag bland annat!
Här kommer en kort intervju med Takeru så ni för lära känna Heats nyaste spelare!
Tell me a bit about your background, where are you from and how long have you been playing baseball?
- I’m Takeru Sorita from Tokyo, Japan. I’ve been playing baseball 26 years in 10 countries and regions (Japan, USA, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Australia, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland). And Sweden is my 11th country.
What made you start playing baseball?
- My grandfather was a big fan of Tokyo Giants. So I started to play baseball for joining the club. My dream didn’t come true but I think my baseball life is good now.
What made you want to come to Sweden to play baseball?
- I wanted to see the beautiful city, beautiful nature and play my favorite sport in the beautiful country with new friends I get there
What is your position and what are your personal goals for the year?
- I play mainly catcher and also all the infields. My goal is winning the championship and having a great season with all the Sundbyberg club members
What do you know about the team so far, and what are your expectations for the team this year?
- I heard the elite team is one of the best team in Sweden. And I already played with the regional team. I loved to play with those great people. I don’t expect anything for the team. I just expect myself to be a good teammate for everyone

- Hi, I’m Takeru. Please call me Takeru, Tak or T. Whatever. Thank you for the warm welcome to this historic club. I’m so happy to be a member of it. I promise you I'll be doing my best for making this season great! See you at the field!
